Release 1.1.7 – More configuration settings, event log enhancements, and a new floor plan view

Viewteam Release 1.1.7 is here! This latest update introduces a range of powerful new features designed to streamline hybrid workspace management. We’re giving organisations even more flexibility, control, and insight to optimise their office space.

New ‘fit to screen’ floor plan view for better navigation

Navigating floor plans just got easier. We’ve introduced a ‘fit to screen’ option to improve visibility across different devices. Previously floor plans are set to autoscale to screen width, now you can select floor plans to fit to screen so they will be fully visible. Whether you’re on a laptop, tablet, or mobile, floor plans will now scale automatically to fit your screen.

Expanded configuration options for greater control

Customisation is key when managing a hybrid workspace, and we’ve expanded our configuration settings to give administrators even more granular control. Here’s what’s new:

• Limit desk bookings – Restrict desk bookings to one per day per user to ensure fair allocation.
• Block guest bookings – Disable guest bookings for all users, with the ability to override the setting for selected admins and users.
• Block bookings for others – Prevent users from booking on behalf of others, with admin and user-level exceptions.
• Simplified configuration navigation – As settings expand, we’ve moved them into a dedicated Configuration section within the Admin menu for easier access.

Improved event log filtering and export for more insights

Keeping track of system activities and user actions is essential for any organisation and the event log provides a useful audit trail to review and analyse usage patterns. We’ve expanded the capability of the Viewteam event log to give administrators more insights and easier ways to view the data. New event log capabilities include:

• More detailed logging – See richer data on recorded actions for better auditing.
• Advanced filtering – Filter logs by date range, user, and action type, making it easier to pinpoint specific activities.
• CSV export – Need a report? Now you can export event logs as a CSV file for further analysis.
